Journey of Self

Hello beautiful readers,

How are we doing today? Did you get two mins to meditate and relax? If not, why not you take a moment and simply breathe. Relax and Let go 🙂 Today’s post Journey of Self is about a battle between self and our urge to change the world.

When I read news about how people around the world have engaged themselves in violence and abuse; and how they are taking control over other people’s lives and how people were standing in the crowd are helplessly watching the scene. I always wonder “why” and what do these people think about themselves. And most of the times, I get a plain answer from people around me “You cannot change the world, there are people like that.”

I have heard this statement so many times that for a short period, I started believing in it. Maybe it is true that we cannot change everything or everyone around us. Otherwise influential thinkers and wise men like Guru Nanak, Jesus, Moses, Prophet Mohammad(PBUH), Buddha and others, would have changed everyone’s perspective. Certainly, change cannot be enforced; it has to be adapted. Just the way, to make a pot, clay has to be wet and ready to be designed in shape.

That’s why I am not trying to change anyone but my mind. I am changing myself. It is my journey, I am not following anyone, no one is following me, and everyone is walking beside me carrying their journey of self. All our deep questions are addressed to our own mind and only can be answered through self-realisation. Buddha said, “it is better to conquer self than winning a thousand battles.”  If I am a blind myself, how can I guide someone else? If I am still sleeping, how can I wake up someone else? Simple!! The journey of Life should be the journey of Self.

I know you feel misunderstood sometimes; it is a tragedy. But believe me, everyone else feels the same way. Relax and when you start walking on the path of change or improving the world, make sure your first step is inwards.

“Woh kaise log they jo tujh tak pahunch gaye…Yahan toh muhaal ho gaya hai Khud ko Samaitna” Jasz Gill

Translation ~ I do not know what sort of people were they, who have found you and have reached your door. Here I am, still in the process of packing myself(mind) to start this journey
