How is life treating you today? I bet life is treating you like a king, if not, you know how to change that. I have faith in you. Today’s post ‘Know Thyself” is a summary of my conversation with a dear friend of mine who is also a believer that life has a bigger meaning than a to-do list.
Most of our life is consumed by others. It might be in the process of pleasing them, hurting them, ruling them, loving or hating them. But the whole fraction of an average person’s life is spent on others. Rest of the fraction is composed of an illusion of being spent on our own DREAMS and DESIRES. Most of these desires and dreams again involve external reason. For example, getting a JOB, Building an own HO– USE, marrying SOMEONE, raising my KIDS, etc. So we feed this continuous illusion that we are focusing on our lives but with the interdependence of all external factors, Is it possible to focus on your Own? How many of our dreams or desires involve “knowing self, building self, exploring self” It might seem as a wastage of time now, but at one point, we all witness a scene where money, power, relationships fail to content us.
I remember reading a quote somewhere which says if you can’t recognise yourself in this life, when will you? Therefore, Know Thyself!
